Lau
Created for the Basque Government, the installation reinterprets the lauburu, a symbol of Basque culture evoking a moving sun. Its curvilinear form is abstracted into four points, defining the geometry of the perforated panels and colour composition.
The modular structure combines a perforated upper section with a plain lower section. A dichroic layer reflects the upper surface onto the base, creating continuity and depth, while separating the monochrome structure from its iridescent reflection, which shifts in colour with light and viewpoint.
